Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 8, 2025, highlighting the project’s potential to enhance connectivity and attract global investments to the state.
The Lekki-Epe International Airport is poised to serve the rapidly expanding Lekki-Epe corridor, one of Lagos State’s primary growth areas. This development aims to alleviate congestion at the existing Murtala Muhammed International Airport and provide a more accessible travel hub for residents and businesses in the eastern part of Lagos.
