Michael Jordan’s Highland Park Mansion Sells for $9.5 Million After 12 Years on the Market

Michael Jordan’s expansive mansion in Highland Park, Illinois, has finally sold for $9.5 million after being on the market for over a decade.

The 56,000-square-foot estate, which Jordan built in 1995 during his tenure with the Chicago Bulls, was initially listed for $29 million in 2012. Despite various marketing strategies, including auctions and price reductions, the property remained unsold until now.

The mansion boasts nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a regulation-sized basketball court, an infinity pool, a putting green, a tennis court, and a cigar room. Distinctive features include the iconic number “23” displayed on the property’s gates, a nod to Jordan’s jersey number.

The buyer, John Cooper from Lincoln, has expressed intentions to honor Jordan’s legacy through the property.

Jordan, who spent approximately $50 million constructing the mansion, has since relocated to residences in North Carolina and Florida.
