TORONTO — The Ontario Real Estate Association says London, Ont. broker Stacey Evoy is its new president.
The housing organization says Evoy, who has 19 years of experience in real estate, assumed the role today, following an annual general meeting it hosted.
It says Evoy has served as director and president of the London St. Thomas Association of Realtors and on an OREA committee tasked with reviewing the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act.
Evoy is taking over the position from David Oikle at a time when housing prices are soaring, bidding wars are still frequent and a federal budget and Ontario election are impending.
She will represent OREA's members, including 92,000 realtors across 36 real estate boards.
